Tree planting is one of the most effective and cost-efficient techniques to lessen the impact of climate change. As a result, the European Union – Resilience Against Climate Change (#EU-REACH) project staff are undergoing training in nursery management and compost preparation.
This is geared towards equipping them with skills and knowledge to nurse seedlings for onward distribution to communities in its operational areas, as part of measures to promote afforestation.
5000 seedlings including Acacia, Militia, Mahogany, Cashew, Black Pearl, Albizia, and Cassia are currently being nursed.Â
