AfNEXT programme for Ghanaian SMEs (Grant: EUR 7700)

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and within the framework of the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” (brand name: Invest for Jobs), is implementing the African SME Network for Exchange and Trade (AfNEXT) project in Ghana.

AfNEXT programme  for Ghanaian SMEs Benefits

The AfNEXT project seeks to support SMEs through a combination of 1) Technical and 2) Financial Assistance;

1) it offers business development trainings and highly customized consulting services to improve business performance and market access;

2) it provides support for the procurement of equipment to increase production capacities (in-kind Grant Scheme).

3) Grant of EUR 7700.

All succesful applicants who become the beneficiaries of the AfNEXT project must commit to contribute 15% co-financing (EUR 1358 in case of the maximum grant amount) or higher if the required equipment is more expensive than EUR 9058 (maximum grant amount + mandatory 15% co-financing + top-up by beneficiary).

Eligibility

  • Is your business registered in Ghana?
  • Is your business engaged in export or need support to export?
  • Is your annual turnover at least GHS 130,000?
  • Are your processes aligned with environmental and social sustainability efforts?
  • Do you have a minimum critical staff of 10, with a significant number of the staff being women and/or youth?
  • Are you seeking equipment and technical assistance to improve your current production capacities, and thereby generate new and decent jobs?
  • Are you ready to contribute? The maximum grant amount that can be awarded is Euros 7,700 and at least 15% co-financing with your own funds is mandatory.
