Call for projects for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Building Coastal Resilience in West Africa

As part of the implementation of the regional component of the WACA ResIP programme, the Regional Partnership for the Conservation of the Coastal and Marine Zone (PRCM), in collaboration with UEMOA, the World Bank, and several technical partners (Abidjan Convention, IUCN, CSE, RAMPAO, IRD, ACECoR), is launching a call for projects aimed at strengthening the resilience of West African coastal areas.

This initiative is part of a competitive, transparent and inclusive approach, and aims to mobilize local skills and initiatives in the service of sustainable coastal management.

The projects submitted must contribute to:

  • Sustainable conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems
  • Strengthening the resilience of communities to the effects of climate change
  • Improving environmental governance through local participation
  • Technical, social or institutional innovation at the service of coastal territories

Eligible Organizations

  • NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations)
  • Community Networks
  • Women’s Platforms
  • Local associations
  • Grassroots organizations
  • Economic Interest Groupings
  • Cooperatives
