The Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management course is designed to provide agribusiness entrepreneurs, youth, women groups in agriculture, Extension Officers, Agro-processors, Waste Managers, Students in Agriculture, and Environmentalists with essential skills to enhance their business acumen and entrepreneurial capabilities. This course combines in-person classroom sessions, practical exercises, and presentations to equip participants with the tools they need for success.

Expected Outcome 
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Evaluate entrepreneurial principles, the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, and the contribution of entrepreneurship to national development and self-reliance.
• Conduct market analysis to identify unmet needs, target customer segments, and emerging business opportunities within their local communities.
• Design and present a viable business model using tools such as the Business Model Canvas, tailored to a specific business idea or existing enterprise.
• Develop and pitch a basic but comprehensive business plan, covering key areas such as marketing, operations, finance, and customer engagement.
• Apply essential financial management skills, including the ability to prepare and interpret basic financial documents such as budgets, cash flow statements, and pricing structures.
• Develop and implement a marketing and branding strategy, incorporating both traditional and digital tools.General Information
