International Terre de Femmes Award 2025 (Financial award of €10,000)

Launched in 2019, the International Terre de Femmes Award is a thematic prize open to all women worldwide. It rewards on-the-ground actions carried out by a woman or a group of women within a non-profit organization.

The contest aims to provide financial support for exemplary actions carried out by women around the world in favor of nature, on a specific theme defined each year.

The theme chosen for the seventh edition of the International Prize is ” Coastal ecosystems, dynamic environments between land and sea “, defined as follows:

In 2025, this thematic prize will reward the project of a woman, or a group of women committed to the preservation of coastal ecosystems, through concrete actions carried out within a non-profit organization (association loi 1901, foundation, NGO).

Through this thematic prize, the Yves Rocher Foundation, a recognized public utility foundation, wishes to support the role of women who, in their own territory, are committed to preserving and promoting the importance and role of coastal ecosystems as a fundamental element of the planet’s ecosystem dynamics.

Examples of projects that may be eligible include:

• Creation of new marine protected areas with integrated management plans.
• Monitoring and enforcement programs in protected areas.
• Mangrove replanting projects with local community participation.
• Coral reef restoration initiatives involving coral transplant techniques.
• Collaborative research programs with scientific institutions to study coastal ecosystems.
• Public awareness campaigns and educational programs in local schools.
• Ecological compensation projects to offset impacts of urban development on coastal habitats.
• Partnerships between private companies and NGOs to fund conservation initiatives.
• Organizing beach clean-up campaigns with the participation of volunteers and local communities.
• Development and deployment of innovative technologies for the collection of plastic waste in oceans.

Projects that cannot be eligible:

• Projects that concern the environment of oceans, high seas marine.

Eligibility

• The Yves Rocher Foundation Terre de Femmes International Prize is open to women of legal age throughout the world who are carrying out a project in favor of nature through a non-profit organization (foundation, association, NGO …) or on a personal basis, when the laws and regulations of their country prevent them from participating through a non-profit organization.
• Candidates may not be members of the Yves Rocher Foundation, persons involved in the organization of this contest, or Groupe Rocher staff or employees.
• Participation in the International Prize is limited to one entry per person (same first name and surname).
• Winners of the two (2) previous editions are not eligible for the International Prize.

Application Process

The application form consists of the following:

• A description of the candidate: photo, CV, commitment to the environment.
• A description of the support structure for the action (if applicable): its team, partners, network, and any subsidies.
• A description of the project and the candidate’s action in favor of the environment: the detailed object, the location (on map), the history and the concrete achievements, the outlook, the budget (in table form), photos of the action.
