The Salon du Chocolat 2025, held in Paris, France, marked three decades of celebrating the worldโs most beloved delicacy; chocolate through a vibrant showcase of craftsmanship, creativity, and global collaboration.
Bringing together over 500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, this yearโs event featured participants from Ghana, Cรดte dโIvoire, Nigeria, Madagascar, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, France, Belgium, Japan, and Switzerland, among others highlighting the truly global nature of the cocoa and chocolate industry. From โbean-to-barโ discussions and live demonstrations by master chocolatiers to the iconic chocolate fashionshow, the exhibition beautifully showcased how artistry, innovation, and sustainability intersects to define the future of chocolate.
A key takeaway from the event was the growing emphasis on ethical sourcing, traceability, and producer empowerment, values that deeply resonate with Africaโs cocoa sector. As the worldโs largest producer of cocoa, Africaโs continued participation in these global conversations remains essential for shifting from raw commodity exports to value-added excellence and fairer trade models.
The Salon du Chocolat stands as a reminder that behind every chocolate bar lies a story of farmers, innovators, and artisans connecting continents, cultures, and creativity through a shared passion for chocolate.
