This Call for Proposals aims to select, through a competitive process, one or two organizations to co-develop and implement the regional grant “FO4IMPACT: FOs for Institutional Strengthening, Market Access, Policy Engagement, Advocacy, Community, and Transformation” in the Near East, North Africa, and Europe (NEN) region.
The selected recipient(s)must be a farmers’ organization (FO) representing more than one country with a clear mandate to operate in selected countries across North Africa, the Balkans and Turkey or a no-profit entity (alone or in consortium with a FO). Applications may be submitted individually by one entity or jointly as a consortium.
The objective of the grant is to promote inclusive, sustainable, and climate-resilient agricultural value chains, and to strengthen the capacity of FOs to deliver services to smallholder farmers, engage in evidence-based policy dialogue, and enhance governance, transparency, and inclusiveness. Grant resources will finance targeted interventions directly linked to the project objectives, with emphasis on the opportunity to showcase best practices, produce evidence and generate knowledge to boost dialogue in the region and foster dialogue among FOs at all levels.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate at least five years of experience working with smallholder farmers and FOs in the region, as well as proven capacity in institutional strengthening, market access, policy engagement, and service delivery.
