The Assin Odumasi Restoration Child and Youth Development in collaboration with Compassion International has donated farm tools valued at GH¢44,000.00 to more than100 farmers to enable them work efficiently.
The farm tools included 100 pieces each of hoes, machetes, watering cans and agro spraying machines.
According to Reverend John Evans Arthur, Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, farm tools were vital to agricultural productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.
He said the farmers were parents whose wards were being sponsored by Compassion International and needed the tools to intensity their farming and increase crop yields.
Rev. Arthur charged the farmers to handle the tools with care because they would be monitored to inform the Organisation of their next decision.
Pastor Peter Hagan, a beneficiary, said the support given, would enable him to prepare his land on time for increased yields and contribute to national food security.
He promised to use the farm tools efficiently and to expand his farm to become self- sufficient.
Mrs Theresah Amoah, a beneficiary thanked the donors and added that   the assistance had boosted her confidence in farming and hoped to make a better living to support her family.
