In previous years, many submissions—and winning ideas—have focused on energy and waste reuse. While these remain important, they are now well explored and widely supported.
This year, the challenge raises the bar. They are shifting focus toward less conventional, high-impact areas where innovation is urgently needed—human rights, ethical value chains, responsible AI, digital inclusion, and biodiversity. This is not about incremental ideas—it is about fresh thinking in underexplored spaces. We are looking for bold, practical, and scalable solutions that address real-world challenges and push beyond traditional approaches.
Across Africa and globally, the real challenge is no longer just sustainability—it is about how economies function, who participates, and who benefits. This competition invites students and innovators to tackle these deeper, systemic issues and design solutions that deliver meaningful, inclusive impact.
Entries will be assessed on clarity, originality, feasibility, and their potential to deliver real ESG and inclusive outcomes.
