Farmerline, a leading agricultural technology company on Thursday, January 6, 2025, announced the appointment of Alloysius Attah, Co-founder and CEO of the company to the Board of Directors of Heifer International, a global nonprofit company.
Heifer International currently operates in 19 countries and supports farmers and food producers to strengthen local economies and build secure livelihoods that provide a living income.
Since its inception in 1944, it had worked with more than 52 million people worldwide to end hunger and poverty sustainably.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency by Worlali Senyo, Country Manager, Farmerline said the appointment came as Farmerline continued to demonstrate leadership in digital agricultural innovation.
“Farmerline has digitized 2.2 million farmers over the past decade through its Mergdata platform, recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Best Inventions in 2019. Most recently, Mergdata’s Darli AI app received TIME’s Best Innovations recognition in 2024,” it stated.
The statement said, “This appointment represents an opportunity to scale digital innovation in agricultural development further,” adding, “Our work has shown how technology can create lasting wealth for farmers and local agribusinesses.”

The statement mentioned some of the key achievements under Alloysius Attah’s leadership as digitalization of 2.2 million farmers, and building partnerships with over 3,000 organizations across 50 countries.
The rest were developing award-winning digital solutions for agriculture and pioneering regenerative farming practices through digital training.
Farmerline was founded in 2023 and creates lasting wealth for farmers through digital solutions. The company’s Mergdata platform was recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Best Inventions in 2019, and its Darli AI app received TIME’s Best Innovations recognition in 2024.
