The Ghana Forestry Commission and Tullow Oil have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to identify and develop REDD+ carbon offset projects. The implementation of the project will enhance the conservation of existing forests and increase forest stocks in line with Ghana’s REDD+ strategy, and support the realisation of Tullow’s net zero plans on high emissions.
The Chief Executive of The Ghana Forestry Commission, Mr. John M. Allotey signed the MOU on behalf of Forestry Commission whiles Mrs. Cynthia Lumor, Deputy Managing Director signed on behalf of Tullow Oil.
