The Green Business Challenge is designed to inspire and empower youth to develop innovative business ideas that contribute to solving the effects of single-use plastics and promoting sustainability.

Green Business ChallengeThis challenge focuses on entrepreneurship with an environmental impact, encouraging young people to think creatively about how they can make a difference in the world through eco-friendly business ventures.

Categories

  • Sustainable Packaging Solutions – Develop alternatives to single-use plastics, such as biodegradable, compostable, or reusable packaging.

  • Eco-Friendly Products – Create or promote products made from recycled materials, organic substances, or renewable resources.
  • Green Technology – Innovate technologies that help reduce carbon footprints, such as energy-efficient devices, renewable energy systems, or water conservation tools.
  • Waste Reduction Initiatives – Develop programs or services that focus on reducing waste, promoting recycling, or upcycling materials.

Prizes

  • First Place – Cash Prize, Mentorship, Business Coaching, Certificate
  • Second Place – Mentorship, Business Coaching, Certificate
  • Third Place – Business Coaching, Certificate

Eligibility

  1. Age Group: Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 at the time of application.
  2. Team Composition: Participants can enter individually or as part of a team. Teams can have a maximum of 3 members. All team members must meet the age criteria.
  3. Idea Requirements: The business idea must focus on addressing a climate change-related issue or promoting environmental sustainability specifically sustainable packaging solutions in place of single-use plastics packages.
  4. Project Stage: The challenge is open to ideas at any stage of development, whether it’s a sound sustainable business concept, prototype, or an early-stage startup.
  5. Educational Background: Participants from any educational background are welcome. However, participants must have some knowledge in financial literacy.
  6. Participation Commitment: Participants must be willing to commit to the challenge timeline, including attending workshops, mentoring sessions, and the final presentation event. Teams or individuals must actively engage in all required activities throughout the competition.
  7. Ethical Standards: All submitted ideas must adhere to ethical standards, including but not limited to, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
