iF Social Impact Prize 2025 (A share of EUR 100,000)

The iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE supports projects that contribute to improving our society. If you work towards achieving one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, your project is eligible.

Categories – the UN Sustainable Development Goals (1-15)

All submissions should be in line with one of the following 15 UN SDGs.

  1. No poverty

  2. Zero hunger

  3. Goodhealth and well-being

  4. Quality education

  5. Gender equality

  6. Clean water and sanitation

  7. Affordable and clean energy

  8. Decent work and economic growth

  9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure

  10. Reduced inequalities

  11. Sustainable cities and communities

  12. Responsible consumption and production

  13. Climate action

  14. Life below water

  15. Life on land

Benefits

Social projects that are supported with the iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE benefit from this:

  • A share of EUR 100,000

  • Publication on our iF Design Website

  • They will be presented to a global design community, the design-interested public and the media.

  • The projects selected by the jury receive an individual winner certificate.

Eligibility
  • Companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations, public and other organizations, social enterprises and entrepreneurs are welcome to submit.

Application Process 

  • Section basics: Project name, selection of category (SDG), project start, type of project, year of project start, add some tags.

  • Section description: Statement (= short description of your project with max. 650 characters) in English.

  • Section media:

    • Images: Upload at least 1 main image. Optionally, you can add 2 more images of the project: One image in landscape format and one in portrait format.

      File types: JPG, PNG, max. width: 4,750 px, max. file size: 5 MB, color mode: RGB

      Naming of the image: Project-ID – name of the project – no. of picture e.g. 1

    • PDF file: Add more details on your project by uploading a PDF file containing a more detailed description, plans or additional images. The PDF file should not be longer than 5 pages and will only be used internally by the jury.

    • Project video: Present your project with an explanatory video. Please make sure it is publicly visible. Please make sure that your video is no longer than 2 minutes. It should summarize the most important information about your project. You can upload a link to YouTube or Vimeo.

    • Web URL: Enter a link to the project website or another representation of the project. It should be publicly visible. Please use domains that are accessible in Germany. The website must be constantly online.

  • Section credits: Please sepcify the name of the organization and the country in which the organization submitting the project is based (not the country in which the project is implemented).

  • Partner organization: It is possible to specify a partner organization with which your organization cooperates for the project in question. This is not mandatory.
