Scaling African Solutions for African Challenges
We are looking for the next generation of African startups disrupting industry sectors including AgriTech & Supply Chain, IoT & Connectivity, Machine Learning (Data Analytics), Cybersecurity, Clean Tech and RegTech.
Check out our ASIP Accelerator Program Video
Backed by anchor partner Telecel Group, the program is ideal for tech-oriented startups looking to scale through corporate and public sector partnerships. We scout, skill, and scale early-stage startups through intensive coaching and opportunities for pilots and Proof of Concept projects that subsequently open the doors for longer-term commercial agreements.
Our additional partners to achieve this include the Government of Senegal, through DER/FJ, a youth and women empowerment structure set up by the President of the Republic of Senegal. With the help of DER/FJ startups will gain public-sector knowledge and support which presents an opportunity to further scale their impact.
During the scouting period for the first cohort, we received a record 2200 applications and selected 11 Pan-African startups to participate in the inaugural ASIP Accelerator Program. The program began on July, 05th 2021, and participating startups had access to Startupbootcamp’s Accelerator Squared platform and other tools and networks that they needed to prove their concepts, scale their operations and in some cases, transform their business models.
All of this culminated in a hybrid Demo-day, which was held at the D-hub in Dakar, a space commissioned by the President of Senegal to support entrepreneurs throughout Senegal.
Now it is your turn!!!!
Are you looking to take your start-up to the next level? Are you ready to build a sustainable, repeatable business model using lean methodology? Are you ready to scale your impact through collaboration with the private and public sectors?
The Telecel ASIP Program, powered by Startupbootcamp Afritech is where you should be
The Africa Startup Initiative Program is a program founded by Moh Damush, Telecel Group CEO as a CSR activity. Â Telecel Group then partnered with Startupbootcamp AfriTech to create the ASIP Accelerator Program which contributes in a meaningful way to the African community to help the young Startups in Africa whose innovative ideas are creating a difference in their communities.
Starting in 2017, the first SBC AfriTech program accelerated 40 incredible African startups that have set an incredibly high bar for the next program.
- 88% are still operating and scaling at impressive rates
- 50% of our startups are self sustaining based on the commercial contracts
- The average increase in valuation for startups raising capital is 4x- 10x post-Demo Day
What to expect
During the Covid pandemic, SBC launched Accelerator Squared as a fully online platform that enables startups to access the complete library of content, group workshops, 1:1 mentoring, collaborative sessions with Entrepreneurs in Residence, and invite-only discussion forums with founders from around the globe.
The Program takes a hybrid format and begins in Dakar, culminating in a physical Demo Day where startup founders pitch their disruptive solutions to a broad audience of media, investors, corporate partners, and industry stakeholders.
The 10 startups in the program will receive benefits valued at more than EUR 500,000, including credits from AWS, Google Cloud Services, Hubspot, and many more. ASIP Accelerator also invests EUR 15,000 in cash to each startup.
If you believe you could be their next rising star, apply now!
