In 2020, the Africa Impact Finance Initiative (Africa IFI) was founded by Rhodes Scholars in residence to help support the initiative, passion and hard work of Africans.
We aim to empower community-based organisations by raising funds and providing support for sustainable and impactful education-focused initiatives.
The grant giving portfolio aims to provide fair, transparent and equitable distribution of funds of up to £1500 GBP to projects across Africa. The number of grants given per round will depend on the availability of funds.

Eligibility
- The organization applying for the grant is operating out of the African continent.
- The project aims to improve the education of children or young adults up the age of 25.
- The organization has been operational for a period of 12 months.
- The organization is community-based.
