Katapult Africa believes that sustainable agriculture and climate-smart solutions will drive economic development across Africa. That is why they accelerate startups in the space.
Their program is designed to support climate tech startups in reaching key milestones: growth, investor readiness, and impact management.
Over three months, participants benefit from intensive workshops, learning sessions, and access to a broad network of key stakeholders, including investors and industry experts. This equips them with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to scale their impact across the continent.
Their focus remains pan-African, across the following impact areas:
- Clean Energy
Startups developing renewable energy solutions, decentralized power systems, energy access technologies, and storage innovations that enable a just energy transition across Africa.
- Clean Mobility
Startups transforming how people and goods move—through electric mobility, sustainable transport infrastructure, mobility-as-a-service platforms, and logistics solutions that reduce emissions and improve accessibility.
- Circular Economy
Startups enabling resource efficiency through waste reduction, recycling, upcycling, sustainable materials, and circular supply chain innovations that minimize environmental footprint.
- Sustainable Agriculture
Startups advancing climate-smart agricultural practices, soil and water conservation, sustainable inputs, and technologies for resilient food systems and improved farmer livelihoods.
- Frontier Climate Markets
Startups operating in emerging fields such as carbon markets, climate fintech, and sustainable mining—unlocking new value chains and financial mechanisms for climate resilience and mitigation.
